My Focus

I have been a litigator in Atlanta for nearly two decades. Throughout that time, my practice has included a little bit of everything – professional malpractice, business litigation, products liability, trucking, and premises liability. The one constant has been representing attorneys and law firms big and small in a variety of legal matters including malpractice suits, bar grievances, abusive litigation suits, anti-SLAPP litigation, and fee disputes.

My Approach

I want to use my skills to help people. I tell my clients I have two primary objectives. The first is to win their case. The second is to provide peace of mind to enable my clients to navigate the litigation process without unnecessary stress. The lawyers I most admire have earned respect by respecting others. I am tough when I need to be, but find scorched-earth litigation to be inefficient, counter-productive, and a bad fit for my personality.

My Background

I was born and raised in Athens, Georgia and am the son of a University of Georgia law professor. I attended Washington and Lee University and graduated with honors in 2002. After teaching English in Southeast Asia for a year, I came home to Athens and attended University of Georgia School of Law.

I live in Inman Park with my wife, Lynn (a nurse practitioner at Children’s Healthcare of Atlanta) and my two daughters, Anne and Vera. Outside of work, I can be found trying new restaurants, traveling, skiing, attending concerts, and caring too much about Chelsea FC and the Georgia Bulldogs.
